    • Confederate Waist Belt Plate

As the war pressed on into 1864, materials started to run short for the Confederacy. Such as brass and iron. This is a brass waist belt buckle that was produced for Confederate soldiers in 1864. You can see that it is a very small buckle. It was made just big enough for holding up a waist belt with its gear on it. This buckle was dug in Nashville Tenn. I got it from a friend of mine who picked it up at the Civil War Show in Franklin Tenn.
