This little single shot boot pistol was dug on a farm that adjoins the Perryville KY battlefield. Officers would carry them
Inside their boots for a back up weapon. They were only meant to be shot at close range, with such a short barrel, and no riflings. Not very accurate at all.
And the best part is that when this was recovered from the ground, we noticed that it was still loaded. What an awesome find!
