It took a little while, but I was able to get this Confederate 6 lb solid shot cannon ball off of a retired Eastern Ky. county judge. He said a friend had given it to him years
ago, but couldn’t remember where he said his friend had picked it up at. Just knew that it was in Ky. somewhere. A lot of Confederate cannon balls can be identified by the casting seam that is left in it after it is poured. The casting seam can be seen on the one shown here. It is in the center, from top to the bottom.
